______________________________________________________________________ February ______________________________________________________________________________ "Footsteps" for Food Skywalkathon Saturday, Feb. 18 12-3 p.m. Polk County Convention Center Skywalk Entrance, 501 Grand Ave., Des Moines Grab your walking shoes, friends and family and join the Iowa Department for the Blind as they host a 1.6 mile walk around the downtown skywalk that begins and ends at the Polk County Convention Complex on Saturday, Feb. 18 to benefit the Food Bank of Iowa. Participants can register for the walk beginning at noon on Feb. 18 and will be charged a $10 entry fee. First St., Des Moines Mullet’s second annual customer appreciation hog roast has been scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26. An entire pig will be roasted and pork will be available for free to customers who bring a canned food item to benefit the Food Bank of Iowa.
